Construction Sealants Ltd are pleased to announce the new contract with Willmott Dixon on Southbank Custody Suite in Grimsby. Works are starting this week, commencing 24^th September and are to include external floor joints and movement joint and all internal sealants to all holding cells, offices, and reception area.  

Work on the £15.5 million project originally started in November 2017, to deliver 36-cell custody suite along with over 1,000 square meters of office space. Humberside Police initially looked at renovating its existing facilities but concluded that would be too expensive and difficult to facilitate. Instead, it has opted for the better value solution of CODE to replace current custody suites in Scunthorpe and Grimsby with one large high-tech secure environment fit for the demands of 21st century policing. It is a direct response to a trend that is seeing police forces rationalize these estates by relocating from smaller, multiple facilities to a single all-purpose custody suite, offices and interview rooms.

Construction Sealants Ltd supplied and installed StaySeal on this project. “Everbuild Tecnic Stayseal 75 Non-Pick is a two-part epoxy sealant which cures to form a hard non-pick and chemical resistant seal, accommodating small movement in extension and large movement in compression. Typical uses include Secure and public environments requiring a vandal resistant seal, perimeter sealing of cell windows, doors and sanitary ware, floor and wall joints in and around swimming pools, compression joints, shower rooms and areas subject to permanent water immersion, chlorine and sea water resistant.”
