Construction Sealants Ltd are pleased to announce the new contract with Harry Fairclough. Works are being completed in three stages over an 18-month period with a six-month break in-between. We have now completed the first two stages, October 2016 – January 2017 then again in October 2017 – April 2018. The three phases of works were put in place to avoid any distraction to students during key times of the academic year. Our final stage is due to start October 2018.
Clifford Whitworth library’s £6.2 million development project is taking shape and most areas ready to be appreciated. The new space adds five study rooms all fitted with TVs, whiteboards, projectors and charging stations.
Additionally, there are two rooms that will have the twin purpose of acting as a teaching room for study skills and research skills training by the library team and as a drop-in PC suite when teaching is not taking place, as well as a large open space that blends books with PCs.
The space is not built solely for study though as there are several comfortable seats, benches and diner booths for students to sit back and relax.
