Construction Sealants Ltd are pleased to announce the new contract with Galliford Try at Castlebrook High School. We started on site in March 2019, work will include carrying out low modulas sealant to external windows, doors, cladding and wall expansion joints up to a 30mm joint, pointing floor joints including saw cuts, sealants to all sanitaryware and internal works along with sealing areas with intumescent & acoustic fire rated acrylic.
Castlebrook high school is a part of a £4.4 billion Priority School Building Programme to rebuild and refurbish school buildings in the worst condition across the country. The current school, built in the 1970s, is unfit for purpose in various ways, needing rewiring, having single glazing and inadequate ventilation and heating. Repairs and upgrades were unable to be carried out due to asbestos in the school.
The new three-story main school building which will accommodation for 935 pupils will be created and parts of the existing school would then be demolished. The school will be transformed into a modern, attractive building with a games area, 100 car parking spaces and plans to retain the existing sports hall, construction center, and all-weather pitch.

Everbuild Tecnic S50 Silicone is perfect for sealing around all types of baths, shower trays as well as an expansion joint and corner sealing of ceramic tiles. ‘825 is designed for perimeter pointing internally and externally around PVCu /wood and powder coated aluminum. It can be used for sealing and as an adhesive onto PVC, plastic trims and components as well as the sealing of soft metals such as lead, copper, and zinc. Everbuild Tecnic silicone 825 can be used as a weather sealing and joint sealing to pre-formed panels and curtain walling, glazing sealing and draught proofing. It can also be used for the glass to glass and glass to aluminum sealing, parapet and roof weather sealing applications as well as being suitable as an expansion joint sealant.’
