Construction Sealants Ltd are pleased to announce the new contract with Mount Anvil Limited on The Kampus, Manchester.
Works started in April 2019 carrying out mastic works to all apartments within the blocks, residential corridors, lifts & lobbies. Work is currently ongoing.
Manchester’s own ‘secret garden’ £250m redevelopment of a former Manchester Metropolitan University site is two years into construction.
On completion next June, the scheme will deliver 533 loft and new-build apartments for rent in 5 buildings as well as 40,000 sq. ft of commercial space filled with bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops.
There are a mix of building being refurbished or constructed on site.
Minto & Turner and Minshull House, two-grade two-listed Victorian shipping warehouses are being converted into loft-style apartments with commercial uses on the ground floor. The building is being converted into 17 apartments with front doors onto Little David Street
Kampus is due for completion in the summer of 2020.
Also being developed at Kampus is The Stack, a former Manchester Met tower which is being converted into 123 apartments. Three floors have been added to the original 12 stories, a new façade is being built and work to the apartments is underway.
Alongside the buildings that are being restored are two new-build towers, North and South block. Each are 15 stories and a total of 352 apartments. Both have now reached full height, with some apartments nearing completion. There are also 10 Dutch houses being built along the roof of the blocks.

Everbuild Tecnic S50 Silicone is a mid-modulus, heavy bodied acetoxy curing silicone sealant that contains a powerful anti-fungal compound to prevent mold and fungal growth in areas of high humidity.
The mid-modulus nature of this formulation gives improved adhesion and flexibility when compared to standard high modulus sanitary grades. Everbuild Tecnic S50 Silicone is perfect for sealing around all types of baths, shower trays as well as an expansion joint and corner sealing of ceramic tiles. Everbuild Tecnic S50 Silicone can be used for the sealing around sanitary fittings in domestic and municipal applications.
“ 825 is designed for perimeter pointing internally and externally around PVCu /wood and powder coated aluminum. It can be used for sealing and as an adhesive onto PVC, plastic trims and components as well as the sealing of soft metals such as lead, copper, and zinc.
Everbuild Tecnic silicone 825 can be used as a weather sealing and joint sealing to pre-formed panels and curtain walling, glazing sealing and draught proofing. It can also be used for the glass to glass and glass to aluminum sealing, parapet and roof weather sealing applications as well as being suitable as an expansion joint sealant. ”
