-Jointing cladding panels.
-As a high-quality adhesive, even to damp surfaces.
-Bonding difficult materials such as metals & fibreglass
-Applications requiring high performance, durable sealing and bonding of joints.

APPLICATION

Cut the tip of the cartridge & fix the nozzle to the cartridge. Cut to the required width and apply with a standard sealant gun. Therefore, allowing you to use the sealant.

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be dust-free & clear of any debris. Although damp surfaces can be sealed, it is worth noting that areas cannot be submerged in water.

FIXING MIRRORS

Apply 6mm diameter beads of sealant direct onto the back of the mirror, ensuring to apply in vertical strips, spaced at 30-40mm centres. Immediately after, the mirror should be lined up & pushed into position and secured with a good, even pressure with a slight twist action. Provide tape as temporary support until the adhesive has dried.

Joint sizes should be referenced before application. If necessary, reduce joint depth with a joint backer rod or an expanding foam.  Furthermore, ensure that the joint design only allows for adhesion to two different surfaces. Masking tape should be used when the sealant is used in a joint configuration to prevent contamination and ensure a neat sealing line. Masking tape should be removed immediately after you have tooled the sealant, doing this will give an excellent finish.

As a nail replacement adhesive

– Surfaces must be free from dust, grease & lose materials etc.
– Apply using a standard sealant gun,
– With heavy items, always provide temporary support and remove once the product has cured.
– Bonding lightweight items. For instance, coving, dado rails & skirting, apply adhesive to back of the item.

LIMITATIONS

– When fixing mirrors with Everbuild Mirror Mate, make sure to always provide temporary support.
– Use on overhead mirrors – Always use along with mechanical fixings.
– Mirror edge should not be sealed until the adhesive has cured.
– Do not use on highly porous surfaces, for example, new stonework & concrete.
